There is so much to cover regarding the Blockchain it’s a little mind numbing deciding where to start. I see a massive disruption on the horizon for music, art, gaming, finance, communications (social media) and just about every facet of our lives you can imagine.
To be our own masters, cut out the middlemen, reshape the internet while they try every underhanded thing possible to regain some form of control. This technology will not be stopped and it’s not just about cryptocurrency.
While financial autonomy and anonymity are extremely important, the majorly exciting bits are yet to be mined if you’ll allow the punn. The advancements in web 3.0 and the DWeb (Decentralized Web) are interesting to say the least but I have stumbled upon yet another very tasty idea.
Insert the “Metaverse” something that’s been around for a while with the likes of Second Life and Roblox. They are virtual worlds where you can create digital products and buy and sell them. In Second Life you could even throw a concert and charge for tickets.
These ideas are being built upon via blockchain tech and the need for more reliable ways to transact and verify ownership. You have Decentraland [MANA] and The Sand Box [SAND] which are very reminiscent of Roblox. These are going to be huge for the gaming world and I bet my kid’s brains would pop.
The one that excites me the most though is Privi [PRIVI] a new social metaverse/marketplace where you can literally create your old world. Set to release in November 2021, I am looking forward to seeing how the NFT market thrown in the mix will help creators and influencers.
